Pant In The Past:
One overnight train to Bikaner from Delhi and another 3 hour drive away brought us to the loom collective of our partner Rangsutra, in Lunkaransar. 50% OFF: The Modern Monpe + All Eye Teal Size 3

The Monpe is a Japanese work pant usually worn by fieldworkers or tradesmen, popularized in the war era by villagers who had to turn their beautiful kasuri kimonos into fabric for Monpe pants to expand their freedom of movement. Distinguished by a looser, low-slung waist and a unique front to back closure, this Modern Monpe is a tailored, smarter version with an easy to wear flexible button closure and D-ring waist belt in sturdy twill. Fit for everyday commutes or longer sojourns, there’s nary a landscape we don’t see these fitting.

This new edition comes in the All Eye Teal ikat print, an ancient symbol of protection for voyagers everywhere.

See our lookbook here.
