Located at an altitude of around 7000ft above sea, the Kumaoni Edition was shot in the Himalyan Villages of Malana, Manalsu and Vashisht, in India, that houses some of the oldest Mountain tribes including the Kumaoni. I followed some local homes of Shilpkar Kumaoni people in the village, in the pahadi social structure, the Shilpkars Kumaons are considered to be the artistic shamans with massive spiritual/poetic inclinations.
The storyboard features a creative, eccentric artist/anthropologist/researcher who travels to blend into new spheres and spaces, discusses stories from other worlds and become a local, while also likes her solo adventures, and private space to reflect on time. She’s a sensitive, conscious, compassionate and reflective traveller with sassy, fearless and wild.
The subject/model: Incredible Revi Kahlon. Second generation Libyan, and lives in Tel Aviv. Produces Olive Oil for a living. Believes in Karma, free spirit and Radiohead.
